Hillman Partners with Military Makeover to Support Veteran Family Home Renovation
CINCINNATI, December 12, 2025 – The Hillman Group, a leading provider of hardware and merchandising solutions, proudly partnered with Military Makeover with Montel on their 44th season, contributing product and gear for the renovation of a deserving veteran family’s home. Hillman’s contributions were featured in the episode aired on December 12 on Lifetime TV.
Military Makeover is a television series dedicated to transforming the homes and lives of deserving veterans. The 44th season renovation took place in Hampton, New Jersey in September and was completed with the help of more than 150 community volunteers. Representing Hillman, Jonathan Begg, Vice President of Channel Marketing and U.S. Army/National Guard veteran, appeared in the December 12 episode to share Hillman’s commitment to service.
The renovated home belongs to Stephen Linn, a U.S. Army veteran, husband, and father of four. Linn served nearly a decade with multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq before retiring in 2015. His service earned him two Valorous Unit Awards, the Army Commendation Medal, and recognition as a Distinguished Member of the 30th Infantry Regiment for his roles as rifleman, scout, and sniper in the 10th Mountain Division.
In 2023, Stephen survived a serious motorcycle accident followed by two strokes. Today, he works as a nationally certified critical care registered nurse and rapid response nurse.
For the renovation, Hillman donated products from three trusted brands:
- Power Pro® fasteners for building a new wood deck and installing kitchen cabinets.
- Firm Grip® Build-A-Rig Everyday Belts and General-Purpose Gloves for crew comfort, mobility, and protection.
- OOK® ReadyNail Kits, hooks, and hanging systems to complete decorative finishes throughout the home.
“Partnering with Military Makeover with Montel and providing our products for the Linn family home renovation was an honor and a natural reflection of Hillman’s 60-plus years of commitment to service in all its forms,” said Lauren Edwards, Hillman Vice President of Marketing. “Hillman stands for reliability, hard work, and giving back, and our brands are extensions of that promise. Whether through our 1,200+ in-store sales and service professionals or products engineered for premium performance, everything we do is rooted in helping people build better lives.”
“Our goal with Military Makeover is to give back a small portion of what our service men and women and their families have given for our freedom,” said Scott Moss, BrandStar Executive Vice President of Programming and President of Integrated Partnerships. “It’s not without the help of amazing brand partners like Hillman that we are able to complete these life-changing makeovers.”
