As a company, service is the hallmark of The Hillman Group. Hillman employs the largest factory direct sales force in todays industry consisting of over 700 people made up of sales personnel, field representatives, and managers. The depth of this team enables Hillman to maintain consistent call cycles ensuring that all of our customers will experience proper stock levels and inventory turns. Additionally, the team can build specific planograms to fit the needs of any store. Customization of programs can also be done to meet consumers requirements for pricing, invoicing, and computer needs.
Each sales representative is responsible for a number of full service accounts that they call on regularly. They in turn are given daily support from our inside sales and customer service associates. These teams truly give us the ability to respond quickly to the ever-changing requirements of our customer base.
Our field service team focuses on big box retailers, pet stores and super stores, large national discount chains, etc. These field reps are highly knowledgeable in all product lines and maintain excellent working relationships at all levels. The tenure for these reps averages over five years and eight years for managers.
Field reps also leverage the internet, via our Hillman portal, to get up to the minute order status and tracking. We have a 48-hour response time on all store level issues. Some daily responsibilities include, inventory maintenance, planogram and display maintenance, cross merchandising, preparation and placement of orders, POP placement, and product knowledge training with store personnel.
