Community Involvement The Hillman Group believes that giving back to the community greatly improves the health and wellness of others and instills a sense of pride in our employees. We're dedicated to giving back across the country, especially in the communities where Hillman does business. Our Community Involvement Committee meets each year with local charities to decide which programs would benefit most from our participation. Each year we conduct two very successful blood drives to support the Hoxworth Blood Center. During the holidays we contribute to our local chapter of the Freestore Foodbank as well as the Adopt-A-Family Program through the Salvation Army. We recently provided 2000 backpacks filled with school supplies for all elementary children in a Cincinnati school district. Across the country our distribution centers give back to their local communities in so many ways: supporting missions, clothing drives, education, homeless shelters, and at-risk children, just to name a few. As a company we participate in two major fundraisers each year. We are proud to support our local Make-A-Wish Foundation sponsoring a child and helping to make their wish come true. We are proud to be affiliated with Lee Denim Day which supports funds for Breast Cancer Awareness. We also have a line of key accessories with a portion of our sales going to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. and Breast Cancer Awareness. The Hillman Group is involved with the “Coups for Troops” program. We provide coupons to send overseas to help all of our brave men and women that serve our country. The Hillman Group Community Involvement Committee also supports volunteer efforts. We are glad to partner with our local Wellness Community which provides support for families dealing with cancer. Giving turns “ordinary money into change” and even the smallest act of giving can spark change.
