The Hillman Group believes that giving back to the community greatly improves the health and wellness of others and instills a sense of pride in our employees. We're dedicated to giving back across the country. Our efforts were acknowledged when recognized with the "Pillar Award for Community Service" presented by Smart Business three years in a row. In 2015 we were honored to accept the Medical Mutual SHARE (serve, help, aid, reach and educate) Award given to one company whose employees best exemplify the ideals of Medical Mutual's own employee SHARE Committee.
Our Community Involvement Committee conducts fundraisers and volunteer activities throughout the year. We are honored to be a partner with our local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.
Hillman is also a proud sponsor of The National Breast Cancer Foundation. Hillman helps raise funds through the sale of a full line of Breast Cancer Awareness decorative keys and key accessories, as well as an annual internal fundraiser among Hillman employees. Hillman has been awarded the Platinum Level Sponsor award from the National Breast Cancer Foundation every year since 2011.
During the holiday season we are a proud sponsor of Toys for Tots, Cincinnati chapter. Across the country our distribution centers give back to their local communities in so many ways: supporting missions, clothing drives, education, homeless shelters, and at-risk children, just to name a few.
Our volunteer policy allows salaried Hillman Team Members to take two workdays a year to volunteer at a charity of their choice. Charities that have benefited from Hillman Team Members include: Ronald McDonald House, Freestore Foodbank, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Autism Speaks, March for Babies and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
